And Then He AwokeJuly 31, 2016 11:23 PM
I love to write. Whether its educational content about health and wellness, words of encouragement for a loved one, or a poem to release trapped energy and emotion. The stress relieving and calming feeling behind writing is like a meditation as you get locked into the present moment. Ive been so inspired by authors like Dan Millman, Deepak Chopra, David Deida, Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, and Paulo Coelho, and will one day write my first book of many. The Peaceful Warrior, by Dan Millman was the gateway that really made an impression on the way I looked at life. If you are just getting into the Self Help realm and want to expand on your awareness of what we're really here for, then Dan Millman is a great start.
Recently, I've been really into Alan Watts and just finished "The Wisdom of Insecurity, A Message for an Age of Anxiety." Alan really harped on the fact that we put so much pressure on ourselves to be happy all the time, and that is not reality. The reality is that with the greatest pleasures come the greatest pains, what goes way up must come way down, and we must learn to accept what is. Immerse oursleves into the presence of euphoria and love, and also be able to dive into the deep end of pain to achieve the greatest growth periods. This is life, and the greatest suffering comes from resisting either side of this coin.
The Mind section of my site will be here as a constant reminder to let go of the mind, lose the mind, accept what is, and stop resisting. I encourage you to live fearlessly, to live from the heart, allow yourself to be vulnerable and experience every emotion. There is a major shift happening in the Universe and its time to expand your consciousness. Your true purpose awaits you.
